Unless we are booked for a Festival or Display, the Club can be found at the Recreation Ground, Laundry Lane, Thorpe St. Andrew, Norwich on the morning of the third Sunday of the month. This is the day we have CAA clearance to fly to 1000 ft, so bring those big single-liners. Other Sundays we can be found at North Beach, Great Yarmouth (north end of the Water Gardens) or at some other agreed location (so keep an eye on the flying program).
The recreation ground covers an area of about 6 football fields. During the football
season (which seems to get longer every year) we are confined to one full-size pitch
on Sunday; the rest of the space being given over to football. Tuesdays, Thursdays
and all summer there is no such restriction so spread out and enjoy yourselves. The
field is perched on the top of a hill overlooking the Yare valley and the Eastern
end of the southern by-pass. If there is any wind to be had, it will be there.
PLEASE NOTE: The recreation ground is not suitable for buggying, boarding or scudding.
